A Life Rooted in the Outdoors—and a Refusal to Give It Up
I don’t remember a time when I didn’t love the outdoors. Growing up on a farm in rural Missouri in the 1960s meant wide-open fields, dense woods, long days exploring, and the kind of freedom that shapes you for life. I climbed fire towers to see for miles, ran trails without a second thought, and developed a deep appreciation for creation and the quiet spiritual renewal that comes from being outside. That love for adventure never left me.
A Career of Service—and a New Question
Over a 40-year professional career, I worked across retail, accounting, and medical offices, where my strengths were administration, organization, and problem-solving. I enjoyed success, learned discipline, and developed a deep respect for doing things the right way. After retiring, I returned briefly to medical office work—but something was missing. I realized I wasn’t done creating. More importantly, I wasn’t done solving problems that matter.
The Problem That Changed Everything
As I aged, one question kept surfacing during hikes and outdoor adventures: “How can a woman go to the bathroom outdoors safely, discreetly, and with dignity—when there isn’t one?”
Anyone who’s been there knows the fears:
- Exposure on the trail
- Squatting behind sticker bushes or poison ivy
- Insects, spiders, or wildlife nearby
- Someone unexpectedly walking past
That moment of fear steals the joy of the adventure. I simply wouldn’t accept that this was “just part of it” for women.
From Frustration to Solution
When I began using a female urinary device (FUD), a new problem appeared immediately:
“What do I do with it now?”
There was no sanitary, discreet way to store a used device on the trail. I searched—and found nothing that truly solved the problem.
So I did what I’ve always done:
I built the solution myself.
That solution became the Sani-Whizz™ Tote—designed to safely, discreetly, and hygienically store a used FUD so women can get right back to enjoying the outdoors.
I look forward to meeting you on the trail!

From City Slicker to Purpose-Driven Partner
If there ever was a city slicker, my wife would tell you I’m the one. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where my daily adventures revolved around baseball and bike riding. After high school, I joined the United States Air Force—a decision that shaped the rest of my life. Serving during the Vietnam War became a defining turning point, instilling in me a deep respect for service, commitment, and doing something bigger than myself. Those lessons stayed with me long after the uniform came off.
Retirement—and the Unexpected Gift of Purpose
Like many people, I imagined retirement would be simple: fishing
whenever I wanted and watching plenty of football. Life had other
plans. After retiring, I moved into a condo and met my wife—right there in the swimming pool. Since then, we’ve enjoyed boating, long walks, and sharing life’s quieter moments together. But before long, we realized something important was missing. Purpose. Passing time can be enjoyable for a while, but I’ve always believed life is ultimately about helping others. That’s when the opportunity to be part of something meaningful came along.
Why I’m All In on Easy-Go Products
When the chance to help build Easy-Go Products presented itself, I
didn’t hesitate. First, because I believe wholeheartedly in what my wife is
creating—and I support her vision just as she supports mine. Helping
empower women to stay active, confident, and comfortable
outdoors—especially alongside their husbands—is a win in my book.
Second, because I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful solutions can make
shared adventures safer, cleaner, and far more enjoyable.
A New Respect for Entrepreneurship
Working alongside designers and American manufacturers has given me
a deep respect for what it takes to turn an idea into a real product
that serves people well. There’s craftsmanship, patience, and
confidence behind every detail—and that matters. As an 80-something veteran, I can honestly say this: Having purpose each day is just as satisfying as catching the big one.
Looking Ahead
With Easy-Go Products, I know my future adventures with my wife will
be:
- Safer
- Cleaner
- More enjoyable
